Instant body scrub

As we head into the warmer months, this simple, versatile scrub made from ingredients in your home is a rejuvenating treat for your skin…

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of sugar or salt. The finer the grains, the softer for your skin.

  • Roughly 1 to 3 tablespoons of oil, depending on the consistency you like. Our Botanic Body Oil is perfect, olive oil is fine and softened coconut oil works beautifully.

  • Optional extras… if you have a favourite essential oil, add a couple of drops. Fresh mint or lemon rind, even dried cinnamon or ginger can also be added for an aromatic boost. Coffee grains are a good addition too.

Directions:

  • In a small bowl, gradually mix the oil into the salt/sugar (and optional extras) until you have a paste-like consistency.

  • Gently massage into your feet and legs, starting with your toes, working towards your heels and then up your legs in long, upwards strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system.

  • Wash off with a warm flannel, or under running water.

    Note: The oil will make your feet slippery! Please take extra care, especially on tiles, baths and showers.

    Treat yourself to this at least once a week for smooth, soft skin.
